Hot Lunch is bringing our favorite jigs and reels to Junkyard Brewing for an early St. Paddy's celebration. We'll get those Irish eyes a smiling!
Hot Lunch plays swanging acoustic jazz in the tradition of the Paris swing clubs of the 1930s. Classical, soul, and 90s R&B influences inevitably seep into the traditional waltzes creating a hot jazz for a new generation. Word.

We can’t think of a better pairing than the beloved Girl Scout Cookies + Beer!
Join us on Tuesday, March 12th from 6-7:30PM along with local Girl Scout, Hadley, who will be here as a special guest to chat about the cookies, the cause, what she plans to do with her fundraising money, and her personal experience with the Girl Scouts.
Allison of Junkyard will discuss the pairings and how the cookies complement each beer so well! What's on the menu? Four tulips of beer paired with four different cookies! Hadley will also be selling cookies at the end of the event so here’s your chance to stock up on your favorites.
Here at the Junkyard, we're really serious about beer, but think it's important to keep a sense of humor, too. Our goal with this pairing is to geek out on beer & cookies and just have a really great time!

Tucker’d Out came together in the fall of 2006 after a year of living room jamming. Brothers John and Lynn Trelstad had performed as a duo in the 80’s and “brother from a different mother” Jeff “Petey” Petrik had a long love affair with bass guitar (and upright). These brothers in music struck common chords and blended harmonies that their listeners responded to with enthusiasm. Tucker’d Out was “discovered” by a TV audience with the somewhat spontaneous performance of an original song penned in the days before the crest of the Red River flood of 2009. Calls and e-mails followed their performance of “The Flood of ‘09” on KVLY’s “Valley Today” program and soon a recording was made to elicit $10 donations for the Salvation Army and almost $4000 was raised. In the fall of 2011, Petey and his wife Pam accepted dream jobs in Madison, Wisconsin where their now two granddaughters live and outstanding bassist Ryan Haug brought his upright bass “Martha” to the group…and the Tucker’d Out music keeps on going. Their number one goal is to have fun and people respond by calling what they perform “feel good” music, and that’s what seems to keep their phone ringing. Check them out at www.tuckerdout.com.

David Allen started out singing in bars during his time as a construction worker living in North Dakota. His style brings you back to the roots of country reminiscent of Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. No bullshit, just straight up good music out of the heart and through a glass of whiskey and a cigarette.

If you like beer and you like charcuterie, then you're going to love this Beer Dinner! (Say "shar-cue-ter-ee"; it means 'cured meats')
What is "charcuterie"? It's the branch of cooking that involves prepared meat products, and for this beer dinner we are talking about the fancier stuff, like pâté, terrine, salami, prosciutto, coppa, mortadella, 'nduja, and pancetta, to name just a few. (And if you only recognize a couple of those names, you should definitely get a ticket and come learn about the rest of them!) In a traditional sense, charcuterie was the various ways in which meat was preserved before the advent of refrigeration, often involving some sort of fermentation process with preservative salts and spices. Today, people love charcuterie for the unique, delicious flavors resulting from that preservation process!
This beer dinner will feature Beer & Charcuterie pairings selected by Chef Ryan Nitschke from Luna and Allison Slavik of Junkyard Brewing Co. Each person will get four 1/2 pint tulips of beer paired with meats from Luna, plus crackers and a few tasty snacks and sauces selected by Chef Ryan. Additionally, Ryan and Allison will discuss the meats, the beers, and why they taste so good together.
We are limiting this event to 40 tickets, so get yours quickly!
This is a 21+ event. Please leave the kiddos at home for this event.
